To the New Light Christian Family, I come in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I pray as we enter into another year that through God and the teaching, preaching and singing of His
Word, that He has so richly blessed you.
In the year 2007, things have not been easy but through it all God has kept this church together
another year. Some new souls came and some souls left, and yet the death angel did not invade
our congregation, and to God be the glory.
Last year Karen (Co-Pastor) and I started teaching on “Kingdom Principles”. Thank you for asking why?
We do not want our church, New Light Christian, to fail to understand that the goal of the church is
not the church itself but the Kingdom. This lack of understanding keeps the church divided, ingrown,
and unable to transform God’s people.
Because this is so Society at large has nowhere to turn to find solid solutions to the perplexing
challenges that confront us today. In the word of the Apostle Paul, I beseech you brothers and sisters
to set forth a Kingdom agenda! An agenda that is a comprehensive demonstration of the way our Creator,
the King intended for every area of life to be lived.
New Light it is my goal in 2008, being that the number eight (8) stands for new beginnings, to produce
through the Word of God “Kingdom Citizens”. Our church like so many other churches have contributed to
the spiritual decline by failing to produce “Kingdom Citizens” who are accomplishing the Kingdom agenda
Jesus Christ laid down for us in the Word. Well to that I say NO MORE! We have done an admirable job of
cursing the darkness, but we have done a poor job of spreading the light.
We have talked about being the family of God; we have been a family in crisis, unable to provide spiritual
leadership to our fleeting culture. Rather than being the church in the world, we have allowed the world
and the world’s agenda to invade the church, and help shape our thinking and our actions.
Enough is Enough!
New Light this has led to weak Christians leading to weak families bring about weak churches, resulting in
a weak nation. Therefore, New Light, Karen and I ask you to pray for us as we study and teach Kingdom
Principles, so that we (the body of Christ), may reclaim our rightful position in society that our children
and our children’s children will have someone to follow. Someone that is following Christ.
In the words of the wisest man who ever lived, King Solomon, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore
get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”. Proverbs 4:7
